Our History

Since 1999, Jean-Charles Diener has been a driving force in the Vietnamese seafood industry. His initial steps into Vietnamese seafood farming and processing laid the groundwork for OFCO's journey.

Jean-Charles founded OFCO, marking the birth of a company committed to excellence in the growing Vietnamese seafood sector. With profound insights into the Vietnamese seafood market, OFCO rapidly emerged as a trusted partner renowned for its ability to source and offer the right quality seafood.

As OFCO Group continued to grow, it strengthened its position in the industry through strategic alliances. OFCO became an associate member of VASEP, the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers, solidifying its commitment to industry standards.

Shifting away from agent and trading activities, OFCO redirected its efforts toward inspection and consulting services. This strategic shift prioritized integrity and impartiality in quality assessment, recognizing the potential conflicts of interest inherent in acting as an agent and trader.

OFCO achieved a new milestone showing the benefits of its long term strategy, with less than 10% of the consignments inspected having major issue (it was 40% in 2009).

In 2015, OFCO transformed into OFCO GROUP, reflecting its growth and expanded scope within the seafood industry.

A strategic move to a larger office space in 2016 allowed OFCO GROUP to accommodate a growing team and enhance their work environment. The new location, adjacent to VASEP, bolstered operational capabilities and solidified OFCO's industry presence.

OFCO achieved a new milestone showing the benefits of its long term strategy, with less than 2% of the consignments inspected having major issue (it was 40% in 2009, and 10% in 2011).

By March 2024, OFCO GROUP achieved a significant milestone reaching 10,000 inspections. This accomplishment underscores our unwavering commitment to quality and reliability in seafood sourcing and delivery since our establishment in 2007.
